Welcome To St Peter's Catholic High School

Our mission at St. Peter's Catholic High School is to be a LEARNING and SERVING community enriched through FRIENDSHIP and CHRISTIAN FAITH

St Peter's is a high achieving over-subscribed 11 - 16 Catholic High School with specialist school status in Visual Arts. Our OFSTED inspection in September 2007 described the school as "outstanding" in every area. The aim of our school is to be "happy and successful" with all pupils having every opportunity to reach their potential in a caring and safe environment. The Catholic ethos is the king-pin of our school and high expectations and standards of discipline mean that teachers can teach and pupils can learn.

Designation as a Specialist Visual Arts College benefits the whole school as well as our feeder primary schools and the wider community. Pupils benefit from a wide range of extra-curricular activities across all subject areas including a variety of visits and trips. The school has also achieved Eco Award and Healthy Schools status. The school values the opinion of pupils through the student council and we also value the partnership with parents in ensuring the best for their children.

I hope you are able to find further information through our web-site or you are always welcome to contact us by telephone.

- Miss H Jerstice - Headteacher
